Welcome to a wonderful community-centered event with creative yoga asana classes,
relaxing yoga breathing, live music and kirtan (yoga chant), yoga wisdom talks,
exciting yoga for kids, and a soothing deep peace meditation session.


Ancient yogis understood yoga as a complete lifestyle and worldview that can help you discover who you are, as well as your relationship to the world and nature. As such, it provides valuable insights into how to solve environmental challenges and promote peace in the individual, peace in communities, and peace in the world. The sages of India understood that the outer can change by changing the inner, and that the nature of our consciousness therefore affects the nature of our environment.

Pre-premiere of the unreleased documentary ‘Who Are You?’
We’d like to take you for an exciting journey - a journey that could open up the doors to a much deeper understanding of life, love, and everything in between. The question ‘Who Am I?’ is not a speculational football to be kicked around at philosophy clubs - it is a real-life question with very practical implications. This documentary explores various scientific evidence all indicating that there is much more to us than just our bodies.

A melodious concert with Oslo band 'Warm Heart', a band that lives and shares the yoga lifestyle, inspiring people all over Europe with their heart-touching tunes. With this concert we also round off the celebration of Yoga Day. We all head home with a big smile inside :)

We welcome everyone to the International Yoga Day Festival of Trondheim with a brief introduction to Yoga. With a small teaser to the actual meaning of the word ‘Yoga’, a short session of gentle physical yoga exercises, and soothing and simple mantra meditation.

Pranayama: ‘Prana’ means ‘life-giving force’, ‘ayama’ means ‘extension’. Learning to control our breath can have an enormous effect on our physical and mental wellbeing. In this workshop you will learn simply yet highly effective breathing techniques that bring harmony to your entire system.
Deep Relaxation: It is said that 15 minutes of Yoga Nidra relaxation may rejuvenate you more than 1 hour of sleep. On this class, you will get to lie down and be gently guided into a state of complete tranquility in mind and body. We also add mantra sounds to the relaxation, which takes you far beyond all worldly stress.

Weaving together melody, music, and mantra, Kirtan is simultaneously a meditative yet energizing activity. It is the most powerful and enjoyable form of meditation. Come try it out!

Take part of wonderful cooking tips on vegetarian food - the basis for a healthy and simple yogic diet.

Yoga is the wonderful science of living, loving, mindfulness, compassion, and humility. But we need to know the path upon which to travel in order to achieve this state. How do we build a mature and joyful personal practice that results in true happiness and enlightenment? With over 20 years of experience of meditation and study of Yogic truth, Anja Hammer will share inspiring insights into the actual meaning of ‘Yoga’. In a relaxed and inspiring way, she will show you why yoga is actually a practical and fun way to achieve a state of peace and harmony in life.

A fun and soothing yoga class to inspire you and help you build physical and mental strength. Guided by the breath, we will flow through a harmonious sequence of asanas. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from Ruben - with great enthusiasm for yoga and experience from over 8 years of regular practice of yoga asanas.

Yin Yoga is a deeply rejuvenating practice where we prolong the time spent in each asana (position). This stimulates the deeper tissues of the muscles to relax & recharge, while bringing the mind into a comfortable state of tranquility. A heart-warming experience and a personal challenge for you to land and center in your breath.

Not enough space to pull out the yoga mat in the office? There are still plenty of exercises you can do while sitting! Chair yoga is the perfect practice for office workers and students who want to get more things done and feel good in the meanwhile. We focus on balancing the most common causes of stress and illness from office work by opening up the chest, deepening the breath, and gently relaxing the tense muscles of the neck and shoulders.

Surya Namaskar, or Sun Salutation, is the most known symbol of yoga practice. It is a flowing sequence of asanas (positions) that helps you connect the movement to your breath, while building heat and energizing the entire body. Explore Surya Namaskar in this inclusive workshop!

Learn, create, meditate: Making a Mandala, an ancient archetypal symbol in the yoga system, is a powerful and fun way of self-expression. Using material from nature or pen and paper, invest a moment to allow your mind the freedom to express, without judgment, in a safe and supportive environment.

Get a small insight into Ayurveda and learn simple tips that can really improve your daily life! Ayurveda is the most ancient but also the most practical health system of the world. Learn the first steps that can really improve your life:
- Improved digestion, less bloating & stomach pain
- Longer life in a good physical and psychical condition
- Stability in emotions, less stress and mental issues
- More joy!

Make your own Japa Mala (beads) and practice with them - ‘Japa’ indicates a soft chanting of yoga sounds, or mantra. Repeating these mantra sounds have the effect of drawing the mind away from the material dimension with all its stress, worries, etc., an effect that cannot be achieved by any material thing. With this practice, gradually your mind and heart will develop toward more tolerance, care, and love for others.

Jam session and workshop of hand drumming - all kinds of hand drums, bring one if you have :) 
The program:
1) Whip technique in hand drumming (quick course to learn basic techniques of movement and hitting)
2) Developing your proper timing feeling (how to make GROOVE!)
3) Basic understanding how to create good drumming line (support and solo)
4) Jam session for all who have something to hit on

She is a frequent guest-teacher at various festivals & events around Europe and holds regular vegetarian cooking classes for Oslo Meditasjonsskole. Join her workshop to learn about the advantages of a vegetarian diet, get inspired with new recipes, and find out the secret behind vegetarian cooking!

Multi-instrumentalist, musician, composer, and Ayurvedic teacher. Previously a band member of international mantra band Atmasfera, Andriy is now playing in Warm Heart.
Will lead the drum workshop as well as the introduction to Ayurveda.

Therese, with her creative crew, will share with you all the colorful and artistics forms of mandala drawing, japa mala making, face paintings, etc. Will also be found in the kids corner to engage the little ones in fun activities like stories, yoga, and art.
